Joona Mikkola

I am an Ecological Economist with nearly 10 years of experience specializing in natural resources, food security, agriculture, and environmental policy. My work has primarily focused on East Africa and in the Sahel region. I am also a Co-Founder at Soilwatch, a climate tech company that helps to design and monitor nature-based solutions which utilize ecosystems and biodiversity to address societal challenges, particularly those related to climate change, biodiversity loss, water management, and food security.
