The aponix vertical barrel takes soilless equipment (NFT/gutters and tables) to the 3rd dimension enabling hyperlocal edible plant production without the need to build rack systems. The system uses the shape of vertical cylinders (the ‘barrels’) that are assembled by stacking ring segments to variable height and at the same time configuring the planting distance in a commercially usable format.
