Since 2018, Tyrolean start-up Bobsla GmbH has developed e-motion on snow on the basis of patented steering. The invention allows creating electric snowmobiles lighter than others, with less energy consumption and a unique feeling of speed. Entering the market, Bobsla focused on niche of snow races – similar to go-karts but on snow without noise and pollution. In 2019, Bobsla vehicles featured in races on Gurgl Ski Resort, Tirol; in 2020 they come to Swiss resorts, too. An e-vehicle for transportation is being planned for the near future.
