ForTomorrow is a non-profit climate protection company from Berlin. Private individuals and companies can use ForTomorrow to decommission unused EU emission allowances. In this way, ForTomorrow forces large CO₂ emitters in the EU, such as coal-fired power plants, to emit less CO₂. This is the best method ForTomorrow knows of to sustainably reduce CO₂ emissions from the European economy. ForTomorrow also plants climate-resistant mixed forests in Germany. As they grow, these forests remove CO₂ from the air, strengthen local ecosystems, increase biodiversity, protect groundwater and improve air quality. So far, ForTomorrow has planted 78,390 trees and cancelled more than 23,000 carbon credits.

The aim of the GreenTech Innovation Contest program is to strengthen Germany as a high-tech location for digital technologies and business models, thereby consolidating German and European sovereignty.
