Verrano is a new clean label delicacy. Based on a newly developed technology Verrano produces and commercialises three varieties of matured and smoked root vegetables. The new food product is used from Michelin-starred restaurants to private consumers as a regional and vegan alternative to meat-based cold cuts. The company primarily uses oversized products that cannot be marketed by the producer. In contrast to heavily processed food the final product needs no additives and is based on 95% of vegetable.

VIRIDE grows algae in the desert. In our quest to produce new green biomass in a sustainable way, VIRIDE activates unused dry land with seawater algae cultivation. The infrastructure that we build allows us to create an ecosystem of aquaculture, agriculture and forestry. With algae as a core product, the approach provides not only plant-based carbon for materials and fuels, but also for food and feed. While today’s world relies on fossil carbon and proteins and oil from rainforests, VIRIDE grows sustainable alternatives without deforestation and by recycling the CO2 from our atmosphere.
