Erik has been with Schenker for more than 25 years in various positions and, in addition to various IT areas, has also headed the innovation area for Schenker Germany since 2011. Since 2016, he has been responsible for the Innovation division for DB Schenker globally. The focus of his area is, among other things, on researching/observing social and technical trends, their impact on the logistics industry and the derivation of future business models for the logistics of tomorrow.

After various positions – including at KPMG – Nina Heine is CEO and co-founder of Shit2Power, a hardware start-up with the aim of transforming sewage treatment plants into energy-positive power plants. Shit2Power offers a revolutionary solution for the utilisation of wet biomass (such as sewage sludge) on a small scale. Undaunted, pragmatic and with a clear focus on economically viable and scalable solutions, Nina develops pioneering technologies that keep fresh water in circulation while creating sustainable energy from wastewater.

Alessandra Caggiano is a champion of climate innovation with 15+ years’ experience building communities and catalysing investment in sustainable tech. From launching her own ventures to backing early-stage climate startups, she’s worked across the startup-investor landscape. Formerly at Green Angel Ventures, she now serves as Strategic Ecosystem Partner for SignalRank in Europe, focusing on energy-efficient AI and data infrastructure. Alessandra is passionate about inclusive, cross-sector collaboration to scale solutions that benefit both people and the planet.

Jussi looks after the LifestyleTest app and its future evolution at Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund. The LifestyleTest inspires people to move towards positive and sustainable lifestyles, with the goal of addressing climate change both on individual level and across society. Previously, Jussi has held senior marketing leadership roles at Qualcomm, Microsoft, and Nokia.

Dr. Alastair Darwood is Co-founder and Inventor at Skarper, a company transforming bikes into e-bikes with one click, developed with Red Bull Advanced Technologies and Sir Chris Hoy. As a medical doctor, Alastair is an experienced medical devices entrepreneur. After completing medical foundation training in 2018, he earned a PhD in Bioengineering from Imperial College London. Alastair has founded and exited further startups in the critical care and anaesthesia space.

Ben Pope has more than 20 years in the metals industry, primarily focused in Non-Ferrous space, and aluminum in particular. Previous roles in the buying/selling of aluminum billet, flat-roll products, secondary ingot, and various scraps supporting the Automotive Industry created the network/knowledge base for inserting new technology to transform the aluminum industry towards better circularity. Ben holds an MBA from Eastern Kentucky University and is passionate about aluminum industry.

Moritz Tölke is steering the decarbonization strategy of the road freight carrier Sovereign Speed as a clear pillar of its business development. Based on more than 10 years of experience in operational and sustainable logistics, his goal is to combine customers transport requirements with the company’s promise of low-emission transportation on the #ourwaytozero. Moritz´s main focus is currently on biofuel and e-vehicle deployment across Germany and Europe.

Markus Terho is a sustainability and corporate responsibility veteran, with over three decades in the technology industry. He is the originator of the LifestyleTest and adviser to organizations working on sustainable lifestyles.

Jure Mikolčić is the Executive Vice President and CEO of the Germany Division of Stadler Rail. His professional journey encompasses diverse experiences in the railway industry: In 2001, he worked in various positions for Siemens, i.a. as Sales Director for Commuter & Regional Trains in Germany. Before he joined Stadler in 2019, he served as the CEO of Knorr-Bremse PowerTech. He also actively contributes to the Verband der Bahnindustrie in Deutschland (VDB) as the Vice-President for Vehicles.

Marcel began his career in banking, consulting, and auditing. Twelve years ago, he transitioned into the renewable energy sector, where he contributed to the scaling of several energy storage start-ups, successfully integrating grid-scale batteries into Germany’s market and advancing high-temperature heat storage solutions. Now, as the Head of Finance at an innovative company that combines energy storage with green hydrogen production, Marcel is actively engaged in shaping the future of sustainable energy technology.

Silke Stremlau was the Chairwoman of the Sustainable Finance Advisory Committee of the Federal Government within the 20th legislative period. Furthermore she is member of the supervisory board of Norddeutsche Landesbank, of UmweltBank AG and of a family office. Former stations were a senior fellowship from Mercator Foundation, five years on the board of Hannoversche Kassen – a sustainable pension fund – and between 2000 and 2015, she built up and managed the “Sustainable Investment” division as a partner at imug.

Sweep Co-Founder and CEO Rachel Delacour is an award-winning entrepreneur with a background in finance. In 2009, she cofounded BIME Analytics, acquired 6 years later by Zendesk.
Now driving climate action with Sweep, Rachel is a prominent voice in European tech, a business angel, and a board member. Elected Co-President of France Digitale in 2018, Rachel is an advocate for women in tech, she was named Xena’s Founder of the Year award in 2024.

Passionate about sustainability, I previously worked at large chemical companies and now work with a start-up specializing in circular polyester. Having lived in Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands, I now reside in Berlin, bringing a global perspective to green innovation. With expertise in engineering and business, I bridge technology and market strategies to drive sustainable change in the textile industry.

Herr Coccia ist in Italien aufgewachsen und hat Chemie in Heidelberg sowie Umweltwissenschaften an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin studiert. Er ist seit 2003 Gesellschafter der System 180 GmbH und verantwortet dort den Bereich Vermarktung. Zudem betreut er seit fast 15 Jahren die Forschungsprojekte des Unternehmens mit dem Ziel,umweltfreundliche Substitutionsmaterialien für die Produktlinien zu entwickeln und kreislauffähige Geschäftsmodelle zu etablieren.

Gregor is CEO and Co-Founder of TALOS, a NewSpace startup based in Munich dedicated to use space technology to protect our biosphere. Merlin Lauenburg ist Managing Director des digitalen Ökostromanbieters und Pioniers für dynamische Tarife, Tibber. Merlin startete seine Karriere früh in der Berliner Start-up-Szene, unter anderem bei Rocket Internet und Viessmann. Bei Tibber leitet Merlin seit zwei Jahren die Geschicke auf dem deutschen Markt und rief die Smart Meter Initiative ins Leben, in der Tibber mit 25 weiteren führenden Unternehmen der Energiewende den Smart Meter-Rollout in Deutschland vorantreibt. Merlin lebt in Hamburg und Berlin, ist verheiratet und hat zwei Kinder.
